RESPONSIBILITIES (Not limited to:)
Strategic Communication Planning
- Execute corporate communication and PR strategies that align with MTN South Sudan’s business goals and enhance the company’s brand image in the market.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager – Corporate Communications and PR to develop communication initiatives that effectively communicate MTN’s vision and leadership in digital transformation.
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and resonates with key audiences, including customers, industry players, regulators, and the general public.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on joint communication efforts, ensuring MTN South Sudan’s voice is heard in industry conversations and policy discussions.
- Support MTN foundation and community engagement initiatives, positioning MTN South Sudan as a socially responsible corporate citizen.
Media Relations
- Foster strong relationships with local and international media, ensuring positive and accurate coverage of MTN South Sudan’s initiatives and milestones.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials, ensuring timely and impactful communication of key announcements.
- Act as a liaison between MTN South Sudan and the media, coordinating interviews, press briefings, and media queries.
Public Relations Management
- Lead proactive PR campaigns to enhance the company’s reputation and communicate its role as a driver of digital inclusion in South Sudan.
- Manage crisis communication plans, addressing any reputational risks swiftly and effectively.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, providing strategic advice to the Senior Manager on mitigating risks and leveraging positive narratives
General:
- Ensure all activities defined above are achieved within budget and within the timeframe set by the business whilst ensuring that MTN South Sudan and MTN Group’s interests are safeguarded at all times.
IT Security Responsibilities/ Tasks:
- Comply with all Information Security Policies and related documents.
- Report security weakness/incidents to either the respective head of department or the Enterprise Information Security Manager
- Must not exploit known security weaknesses.
